The app collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server that belongs to us.
Nothing. The app has no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier and no user account. We do not receive your name, your email address, your device identifier, or any record of what you read.
Every document you import — a PDF, an EPUB, a photographed page, copied text, or an article — is stored only on your iPhone, inside the app's own storage. It is not uploaded anywhere. Your reading position is stored the same way. Deleting a document removes it from the device; deleting the app removes everything at once.
The camera is used only when you choose to photograph a printed page. The image is processed on the device by Apple's Vision framework to recognise the words, and the recognised text is added to your library. The photograph itself is not stored and never leaves the device.
The app makes exactly one kind of network request: when you paste a web address and ask for the article at it, the app fetches that page in order to extract its text. The request goes to the address you typed and to nowhere else. Nothing about you is attached to it, and no cookies are kept.
Everything else — reading, importing files, scanning pages, the clipboard, the library — works with the network switched off.
None. The app contains no third-party SDKs. No data is shared with anyone, because none is gathered.
The three books included with the app are public domain texts from Project Gutenberg.
The app collects no data from anyone, of any age.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
